With hundreds of images to choose from, picking six to illustrate Europe after WW2 isn’t an easy choice. The three on this page are, from the top, Salzburg in 1952, Prague in 1947 and Venice in 1950. Tourism was making a comeback by the mid 1950's and more and more people were taking the 1950's equivalent of the Grand Tour.
